FX is extending The Beauty beyond the TV screen with an official companion video podcast timed to the show’s rollout on FX and Hulu. Hosted by pop-culture writer and podcaster Evan Ross Katz, the series will run 11 episodes and drop in lockstep with each new installment of Ryan Murphy and Matthew Hodgson’s body-horror drama, starting with three podcast episodes arriving alongside the three-episode TV premiere on Jan. 21.
The podcast plans to replay the show’s biggest on-camera beats and unpack the production choices behind them, with the cast rotating in to talk through specific episodes. FX said guests will include Evan Peters, Rebecca Hall, Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, Jeremy Pope, Bella Hadid, Isabella Rossellini, Meghan Trainor, Jessica Alexander and Ari Graynor. The video version will stream on Hulu in the U.S., with access through Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers, and Disney+ internationally; FX and partners also plan availability on YouTube, with an audio-only feed on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
The companion show arrives as Hulu keeps building a made-for-streaming video-podcast lane, aiming to hold viewers between weekly drops and deepen engagement around buzzy series. TheWrap pointed to existing companion offerings tied to titles such as Only Murders in the Building, Dancing With the Stars and Percy Jackson and the Olympians, positioning The Beauty podcast as the latest attempt to turn post-episode chatter into an on-platform habit.
The Beauty itself adapts the Image Comics series by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, built around a sexually transmitted virus that reshapes bodies into “perfect” forms with lethal consequences. The show follows FBI agents Cooper Madsen (Peters) and Jordan Bennett (Hall) as they investigate gruesome supermodel deaths and trace the outbreak to a shadowy billionaire force—Kutcher’s “The Corporation”—and his enforcer, Ramos’ “The Assassin,” with Pope playing a drifting outsider pulled into the chaos across Paris and other cities.
