While it is not the only anime that left its story unfinished at the time, Bleach is certainly one of those that fans were most eager to see how it ended, particularly because the end of the original manga by Tite Kubo on which it is based, was not too much liked when it was published back in 2014.
In 2016, the Bleach anime was left without an ending, although now, six years after that, the first trailer of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War was just released at the Anime Expo that is being held these days, and it will give, finally, a closure to the series created by Pierrot.
As you can see in the video, the new Bleach season arrives loaded with lots of action but also with new characters like the captains of the Society of Souls, who apparently have a modified design, or members of the Stern Ritter, which is currently the main enemy organization.
While Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is theoretically based on the latest issues of the original manga by Tite Kubo, many publications have already revealed that in this new batch of episodes of the anime there will be many new enemies against which Ichigo Kurosaki has not faced.
The anime Bleach tells the story of Ichigo Kurosaki (Kurosaki Ichigo), a young man who turns into a “substitute Shinigami” when he intervenes in Rukia Kuchiki’s (Kuchiki Rukia) mission to hunt down a Hollow. In this way, he becomes a key player in the struggle of the Seireitei, the World of Souls in which the Shinigami live, and the world of the Hollow.
With no specific date yet, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will be released in October 2022, but rumors suggest that there will be a preview of the first two episodes in September, at a major event to be held in Tokyo.
