Sonic Had a Historic Year: 2022 Was the Brand’s Best Ever

The Sonic brand has been a fixture in pop culture and the video game industry for many decades. Every new release is always a big event – though it should be noted that for the past few years the situation has been a little less colorful, for Superfast Hedgehog began to slowly fade into oblivion.

But today – with the release of movies and the latest open-world installment – everything is improving somewhat. Worth mentioning here is the game’s purity, i.e. Sonic Frontiers, which met with a relatively warm reception (I encourage you to read my review).

Moreover, it appears that 2022 itself was a record year for the brand! And we are not talking about the last few years, but the whole history of Superfast Hedgehog! Information was shared by Takashi Iizuka himself:

Last year was the biggest year in the history of Sonic – there was the sequel to the movie, the new Sonic Origins and Sonic Frontiers, and the animation on Netflix, Sonic Prime.

Significantly, man did he mention that they are gearing up for a second wave! 2023 is expected to bring not only additional content to the latest installment about the Blue Hedgehog, but also a lot of news that has not yet been announced. Looks like they are preparing a fantastic month for fans!

What do you think about Sonic? When was the first time you started playing its games? Let us know in the comments section below.
