The film’s exceptional performance also outshined the much-anticipated Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. The latter experienced a significant drop of 56% in attendance from its $60 million opening weekend, collecting $26.5 million.
Comparatively, the Harrison Ford-led adventure carried a production budget of $300 million. Despite this, the Disney film has amassed an impressive $247.9 million in ticket sales worldwide thus far.
Internationally, Insidious: The Red Door proved to be a horror sensation, generating $31.4 million at the international box office. This remarkable figure marks the largest overseas opening for a horror movie since early 2020.

Insidious: The Red Door is set nine years after the events of Insidious: Chapter 2.
