While it offers no aesthetic customization – it will consistently appear as a mechanical spider reminiscent of the Dwarven spiders from Skyrim – players can personalize its combat skills using Governing and Tuning Stones. Despite not being able to alter the Seneschal’s appearance or have it collect gold or items like pets in “Diablo 3,” the companion provides a strategic edge in battle.
This limitation might stem from the complexities of integrating extensive transmog options into a live service game, especially for a companion available only for a season. However, players can find solace in the fact that they can interact with the Seneschal in a more personal way, such as petting it, akin to the dogs in “Diablo 4.”
Season 3 of “Diablo 4” also redefines the in-game boss-hunting experience. The Beast in the Ice, a boss from Season 2 known for its challenging combat and remote location, becomes a pivotal figure in this season.
