The Night Agent Season 3 Sets February 2026 Premiere as Netflix Drops First Teaser

Netflix has set a February 19, 2026 premiere date for season 3 of The Night Agent and released a first teaser that sends Gabriel Basso’s Peter Sutherland straight into another high-stakes manhunt. The 10-episode season hits the service worldwide, with the new footage confirming that Peter’s next assignment starts in Istanbul and ties directly into a fresh White House conspiracy.

According to Netflix’s logline, the story picks up after the fallout of season 2, as Peter is tasked with tracking a young Treasury agent who has killed his boss and fled to Istanbul carrying sensitive government intelligence. That chase pulls him into a dark money network and onto a collision course with a determined journalist; together they dig into buried secrets and grudges that threaten the stability of the U.S. government and put both of their lives in constant jeopardy. Creator and showrunner Shawn Ryan says Peter will also “reckon with hard truths” about what the job has cost him, personally and morally.

The teaser leans heavily on that tension. It opens inside a packed football stadium, where Peter meets his target, played by Suraj Sharma, and calmly instructs him to follow his lead while unseen gunmen close in. The footage then cuts to a series of set pieces: a car chase through city streets as motorcycles swarm their vehicle, close-quarters fights and a stunt in which Peter yanks an assailant off the back of a moving truck. Press material flags a season that moves between Istanbul, Mexico City, Washington, D.C., New York and the Dominican Republic.

Basso heads a returning ensemble that includes Amanda Warren as handler Catherine Weaver, Louis Herthum as intelligence broker Jacob Monroe, Fola Evans-Akingbola as Secret Service pro Chelsea Arrington, Ward Horton as Governor Richard Hagan and Albert Jones as Deputy Director Aiden Mosely. New faces include Stephen Moyer, Sharma, Callum Vinson, David Lyons, Jennifer Morrison and Genesis Rodriguez. Luciane Buchanan, who played Rose Larkin across the first two seasons, confirmed earlier this year that she will not appear in season 3, a change that shifts the dynamic around Peter after their on-screen relationship anchored much of the show’s emotional throughline.

Season 3 arrives off the back of strong momentum. Adapted from Matthew Quirk’s novel and produced by Sony Pictures Television, the series debuted in 2023 and quickly climbed Netflix’s internal rankings, at one point landing among the service’s most-watched new dramas. Season 2, released in January 2025, opened with 13.9 million views in its first week and topped the platform’s English-language TV chart, which helped secure an early season 3 renewal in October 2024 and a fast production schedule that took the show through Istanbul and North American locations before wrapping in mid-2025.
