Ted Lasso Season 4 Rumors Gain Momentum Amid Filming Speculation

Nick Mohammed’s rescheduled tour and a familiar ‘BELIEVE’ sign suggest a return to AFC Richmond may be imminent.

Rumors spread about a fourth season of Ted Lasso, after cast member Nick Mohammed made statements that led fans to make guesses. No official word exists yet, but clues point to possible filming soon.

Mohammed, who plays Nate Shelley, mentioned a big filming project in a social media video on Thursday. He changed his stand-up comedy tour “Show Pony” dates, saying “filming that I’ve not been able to shift” caused the changes. He joked, “The last thing I want is for people to be going mad,” showing a yellow-and-blue “BELIEVE” sign—a clear Ted Lasso reference.

Mohammed’s UK comedy tour moves from April 30-May 11 to start May 13. This schedule suggests his filming might start in late spring. Mohammed’s video sparked fan interest. The “BELIEVE” sign, which represents the show’s message, makes many think Ted Lasso will return. Warner Bros. Television has made no announcements yet.

Signs of season four prep have appeared. Warner Bros. kept contract options open for cast members Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift in August. Jason Sudeikis, actor, writer, and producer, talks with producers, though his exact involvement stays unclear.

Warner Bros. Television CEO Channing Dungey spoke about the show’s next steps. “I wouldn’t put the period on the end of that sentence just yet,” she told Variety in January 2023. “People still love Ted Lasso, and talks keep happening.”

Ted Lasso finished its planned three seasons in early 2023, wrapping up some plots while leaving others open. The end episode suggested new plots, like AFC Richmond starting a women’s football team. Co-creator Bill Lawrence says Sudeikis will decide the show’s path.

The show started in August 2020 during COVID-19. People connected with its jokes and warmth during hard times. The show grew from a 2013 NBC Sports ad character into a big cast show about personal change, including Mohammed’s Nate Shelley.

Nate changed from kit man to coach to rival—earning Mohammed two Emmy nominations. His acting helped make the show popular.

Recent news makes fans think Ted Lasso might come back. The show keeps winning awards and bringing in viewers, making more seasons likely. Everyone watches the cast and crew for signs of what comes next.
