While this may be a disappointment for horror fans eagerly waiting for more from the studio, rest assured that the developers have not forgotten about Dead Space.
Recently, the team made an appearance on Reddit, where they had the chance to connect with players and answer their questions.
When asked about the future plans for the studio, the developers responded that they are still highly invested in continuing work on Dead Space, but many factors need to be taken into consideration at the studio level.
The developers added that they will be taking a well-deserved break before making any decisions on what’s next, stating, “We have a talented team at Motive who has just begun work on Iron Man, and we can assure you that this title is in the best hands possible.”
As for the possibility of a second team working on Dead Space simultaneously, it remains a question mark. Given the size of Motive as a relatively small studio with less than a hundred employees, this scenario seems rather unlikely. Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for the studio and their upcoming projects.
