Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 offers us a new mode known as Warzone Cup. So what is it all about? Very simply, it’s a version of Rocket League in Call of Duty style. This game mode will be available from December 14, 2022 in a new update.
This limited time mode of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is called “Warzone Cup,” as stated, and it consists of two teams of three.
Outfitted with ATVs similar to those players are already used to seeing in the game, the players must use unique skills that once again mirror the Rocket League setup as they try to push the ball into the goal and prevent opponents from doing the same.
“This limited-time mode brings two teams of three Operators to the Al Easima field, home of one of the Al Mazrah soccer team’s league rivals,” said Activision about this new mode. “Here they will have special ATVs with the ability to push a huge soccer ball into the other team’s goal. Collect and throw Shock Sticks to block opponents or ram your way through enemy vehicles to ramm them!”
Games are played until one team reaches five points or until the five-minute timer runs out. Obviously, it is possible to play using the soccer player spawns recently included in Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 as an operator as well, but the chosen skin has no influence on the capabilities of our character of course.
As is the case with all major Call of Duty seasonal updates, Warzone Cup is only a part of whatever is planned for the mid-season update. It’s called “Season 1 Reloaded” and it will also include a double XP bonus for the character and a double XP bonus for weapons.
