This marks the date when Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, the most recent installment in the franchise, will journey from its familiar abode on PlayStation 5 into the expansive realm of PC gaming.

A Specialized Team for a Superior PC Port
Nixxes Software, a studio that Sony acquired in 2021 with a proven track record of developing top-notch PC ports, will be managing the transition. Collaborating with Insomniac, the original developers, Nixxes is aiming to enhance the PC gaming experience with some intriguing enhancements.
According to a PlayStation blog post, the PC version will boast new ray-traced shadows, support for ultrawide displays, unrestricted framerates, and the incorporation of advanced upscaling technology, such as DLSS 3 and FSR 2.
Brief Overview of the Ratchet & Clank Series
For those unfamiliar with the Ratchet & Clank universe, it is primarily characterized by its action platforming and third-person shooter gameplay. The series stars Ratchet, an anthropomorphic alien with feline traits, and his loyal robot sidekick, Clank. Rift Apart not only retains the classic jumping, shooting, and upgrading elements from the preceding games but also introduces an exciting new feature—portals, presumably referred to as rifts.
