At Comic-Con, Marvel made an announcement that got everyone buzzing. They’re launching a brand new comic series linked to one of their most popular TV shows. “TVA” is going to blend characters from Marvel’s movies and comics in a really unique way.
The mind behind the series is Katharyn Blair. She’s best known for working on “Loki”, Marvel’s hit show on Disney+. Helping bring her story to life is artist Pere Perez. His drawings for “Carnage” and “Edge of Spider-Verse” really wow fans.
So what’s this “TVA” series all about? It takes its name from the Time Variance Authority, the weird organization that monitors time travel in “Loki”. The story focuses on Miss Minutes, the robot mascot from the show. She’ll lead a team dealing with timeline problems across the entire Marvel Universe.
Fans of “Loki” will see favorites return, like Hunters and Mobius. There’s also characters pulled from the comics, like Ghost-Spider and Captain Carter. Two new members are joining too – Sir Seconds and Doc Clock. With this eclectic group, the comics are sure to take readers on trippy adventures through different universes.
Kevin Feige, the top guy at Marvel Studios, thinks this series is super cool. He likes that the movies and comics can influence each other. It shows how connected the different parts of Marvel are now. This will be one of the first times a TV character starts in comics.
Issue #1 comes out just before Christmas. With gorgeous art by Pepe Larraz and Perez, it’s sure to be a hit gift. As Hollywood and comics keep blending more, “TVA” might reveal the future of superhero storytelling. Fans won’t want to miss what Marvel is cooking up for a grand finale to 2021!
