Trekkie fans all know Geordi La Forge from Star Trek: The Next Generation. As the super smart engineer on the Enterprise, he didn’t always have the best luck in love. Remember that awkward episode where he fell for a hologram of some scientist named Dr. Leah Brahms? Yikes!
When they finally met the real Dr. Brahms, she wasn’t too happy about the hologram thing. And she was married anyway, so that crush was doomed. Or was it? In one of the final episodes, it showed an alternate future where Geordi was retired from Starfleet. He was married with three kids – and his wife’s name was Leah!
Fast forward to the newest Picard series on Paramount+. Fans got to see what really happened to Geordi. He was still working as an engineer, just curating a super cool spacecraft museum now. And get this – he had two daughters named Alandra and Sidney. But there was no mention of who their mom is!
Terry Matalas, the showrunner, left Geordi’s wife a total mystery. He did it on purpose though. Matalas wanted to save her identity for a potential new Star Trek spin-off called Legacy. Fans are dying to find out – is it Dr. Brahms after all? Was Geordi’s future wife someone brand new?
Matalas said it wasn’t anyone we’ve seen before. Some fans joked she could be from the Mirror Universe, where everything is opposite. But nope, Matalas said she’s a totally original character. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if Legacy ever gets made to find out the identity of Geordi La Forge’s mysterious wife! Plenty of mystery left in the Star Trek universe for sure.
