Matt Damon has been cast as Odysseus in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey. Nolan’s project features an impressive ensemble that includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie, Jon Bernthal, Elliot Page, Himesh Patel, Bill Irwin, Samantha Morton, and Mia Goth, among others. This marks Nolan’s return to a large-scale epic following his recent success with Oppenheimer, which garnered top honors at the Academy Awards.

The film will bring to life Homer’s ancient epic, which recounts Odysseus’ long and challenging voyage back to Ithaca following the Trojan War.
