DC fans eagerly awaiting the launch of the new DC Universe have been thrown into a frenzy with recent comments from James Gunn and Peter Safran, who presented plans for the first chapter of the universe, titled “Gods and Monsters.”
The first phase is set to cover eleven productions between 2025 and 2027, and fans were already excited for what was to come. However, it seems that DC Studios has even more up their sleeve.
In a surprising Twitter exchange, a fan asked Gunn how many of the upcoming chapter 1 designs have already been revealed. To the shock of many, the head of the studio responded with a simple yet cryptic statement: “less than half.” This means that DC Studios has announced less than half of the planned productions for the first chapter of the new universe.

DC Studio President, Walter Hamada, confirmed that there are still many upcoming productions that have not been announced yet. In fact, he admitted that they have not even shown most of their scheduled films and series. It remains unclear whether the eleven films and series already announced will be joined by more productions in the coming years, or if the first chapter will extend beyond the current three-year plan.
