In a recent update for Lords of the Fallen, players can expect significant alterations to their gaming experience. The comprehensive patch, now available on Steam, brings about several game-changing modifications, with a primary focus on the New Game Plus mode, enemy density, and overall performance.

The patch notes have been eagerly awaited by the game’s dedicated community, and they reveal a series of post-game adjustments. One of the most notable changes is the transformation of the New Game Plus mode. Unlike the previous system, which removed all vestiges (checkpoints) in every new game cycle, the updated version takes a more gradual approach.

As players progress through each New Game Plus iteration, more vestiges will be removed. By the time players reach NG+3, they will face the ultimate challenge with all vestiges stripped away.

Another exciting addition is the option for players to continue their current game while retaining their character, items, and progression. This update allows completionists to return to the game world and complete any outstanding tasks. Furthermore, a customizable New Game Plus modifier system is in the works, giving players the power to tailor their gaming experience to their liking.

In response to player feedback, the ‘leashing’ system is receiving a much-needed improvement. This enhancement will restrict how far enemies will pursue players from their spawn point, putting an end to the issue of overwhelming enemy hordes relentlessly chasing the player.

For fans of multiplayer gaming, crossplay is on the horizon. While PC players will be the first to experience this feature, the development team is committed to ensuring the stability of the platform. Console crossplay is expected to roll out first, with PC joining the mix shortly after.

The new update, referred to as patch v.1.1.224, is currently available for PC players, and console users can anticipate its arrival later in the week. The previous patch for PC players was released last Thursday, with consoles set to receive their updates soon.

Additionally, the development team continues to address performance and stability issues. Since the game’s launch, the number of players experiencing performance problems has been significantly reduced, providing a smoother and more enjoyable gaming experience.

For a comprehensive look at all the changes and additions in this latest update, players can find the full patch notes on Steam. Lords of the Fallen initially faced performance issues on all platforms, including PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. However, the diligent efforts of the development team have significantly improved the overall gaming experience, making it a more attractive option for both new and returning players.
