As Rocksteady Studios’ “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” inches closer to its long-awaited release in February next year, the game has been beset by a wave of leaks, much to the dismay of the developers and fans alike.
The journey to launch has been fraught with challenges, including a delay and mixed reactions to early presentations. However, recent developments have escalated to a level that threatens the integrity of the game’s narrative and surprises.
The leaks began following a closed alpha tech test in November, which inadvertently provided dataminers access to a trove of information. This data leak exposed various aspects of the game, including the opening sequences, emote dances, and intricate details about the skill trees.
More intriguingly, the leaks have revealed unexpected appearances from other characters in the DC universe, and an audio file from a cutscene that allegedly divulges the fate of Batman from the Arkham series within the game.
In response to this, Rocksteady Studios issued a statement, expressing disappointment over the premature sharing of game details. The statement emphasized the team’s eagerness for players to experience the story and moments of the narrative firsthand upon the game’s release. Rocksteady also made a plea to the community to avoid spoilers and refrain from diminishing the enjoyment of the game for others.
This situation is compounded by the anticipation surrounding the return of the late Kevin Conroy as the voice of Batman in “Suicide Squad.” The Batman reveal trailer, featuring the Arkham theme, had already hinted at the return of the same character, now seemingly turned evil by the DC villain Brainiac.

Interestingly, amid these leaks and speculations, a conversation on the platform Threads involving DC’s James Gunn hinted at the possibility of more DC-centric games from Rocksteady in the future.
Gunn responded to a query about whether “Suicide Squad” would be the last game in Rocksteady’s Arkhamverse with “No plans of it being the last.” Although this post was later removed, screenshots of the exchange continue to circulate online.
