Pokémon Go is set to introduce a thrilling new mechanic and unlock powerful new forms for the legendary Pokémon Necrozma during the highly anticipated Pokémon Go Fest 2024 celebration. Players who purchase a ticket for the event will have the opportunity to fuse Necrozma with either Solgaleo or Lunala, resulting in the awe-inspiring Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma forms, respectively.
The fusion process will be facilitated by a Special Research questline exclusive to Go Fest 2024 ticket holders. Completing these quests will reward players with either Solar Fusion Energy or Lunar Fusion Energy, which can then be used to initiate the fusion process. According to the official Pokémon Go website, fusing Necrozma will require 1,000 Fusion Energy, 30 Necrozma Candy, and 30 Cosmog Candy. Once fused, players will be able to enjoy the unique forms and abilities of Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma until they choose to separate the Pokémon again.
Necrozma itself will make its debut in Pokémon Go during the event, with players attending the in-person Go Fest gatherings having the first opportunity to encounter and catch the legendary Pokémon. For those unable to attend in person, Necrozma will also be available during the global Go Fest event scheduled for July.
The fused forms, Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma, will appear as formidable raid bosses on Day 2 of the event. Defeating these raids will not only grant players a chance to catch the standard Necrozma but also yield valuable Fusion Energy and other rewards, further fueling the fusion process.
Pokémon Go Fest 2024 promises to be a truly global celebration, with multiple in-person events scheduled across different regions, culminating in a virtual global event open to players worldwide. Trainers can purchase their tickets through the in-game item shop or the web store, and mark their calendars for the following event dates:
