Mimimi Games, the development studio behind the popular titles Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun and Desperados III, has officially announced their latest project, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew.
This real-time tactical strategy game is set in a pirate-themed world and is set to debut on the market in 2023 on a variety of platforms including personal computers via Steam and Epic Games stores, as well as on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
According to the information released by the studio, the game will transport players to the Lost Caribbean, a collection of islands inspired by real-world locations, where players will be immersed in an alternate version of the history of the Golden Age of Piracy.
These islands are controlled by the Inquisition, an organization whose primary goal is to combat and eliminate pirates.
The player character, a pirate named Afia, will also be fighting against the Inquisition as they set out on a quest to defeat this powerful organization and uncover the treasure of the legendary pirate captain Mordechai.
The game promises to be a thrilling adventure filled with action, strategy and mystery. The game will be a perfect fit for those who love pirate themed games with a mix of real-time strategy.
In Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, players will embark on an adventure to resurrect a crew of companions, each of whom will be a fully playable character with their own unique story, skills, and tasks.
The key to resurrecting the crew is the collection of black pearls, and players will have to explore various islands in order to find them. The islands are all hand-made, and are described as diverse, separate, and full of surprises.
