The latest patch for “The Finals,” version 1.4.0, released by Embark Studios, arrives just in time for the holiday season, bringing a plethora of changes and festive elements to the popular free-to-play Steam game.
This patch, also known as The Finals patch 5, is not just a routine update but a significant overhaul that addresses balance issues, enhances anti-cheat measures, and introduces a holiday-themed revamp of the game’s Monaco map.
One of the most notable changes in patch 1.4.0 is the nerfing of the heavy build class. This adjustment was highly anticipated by the gaming community, as the heavy class had been regarded as overly dominant in gameplay.
The modifications include a reduction in health for both the Mesh Shield specialization and the Dome Shield. Medium build players are not left out in this update. They now have access to a more cost-effective use of their Recon Senses ability. However, this advantage comes with a trade-off: arming times have been added to their various mine options, adding a strategic layer to their gameplay.
