Insider Gaming’s Mike Straw reached out to sources within EA and received some valuable insights about the company’s plans for the Fight Night series. Here’s what he uncovered:
The idea to bring back the Fight Night franchise gained momentum after the release of EA Sports UFC 5 in 2023.
However, the sources Straw spoke to do not expect any major announcements or reveals about the new Fight Night game this year.

EA seems to be taking a cautious and measured approach to the Fight Night revival, similar to how they handled the return of their college football video game franchise.
The sources indicate that if any news about the new Fight Night title is shared, it will likely be done in a manner akin to the announcement of EA Sports College Football 25, which was a gradual and controlled reveal.
Based on the information gathered, Straw believes that Fight Night fans shouldn’t expect to see or hear much about the new game until at least 2025.
The sources suggested that while the game is in development, EA is not planning any major showcases or updates about it in the near future.
