In a move that is sure to delight Marvel fans, reports indicate that the highly anticipated teaser for the upcoming film “Deadpool & Wolverine” is intended to play in theaters ahead of feature presentations. The humorous sequence, which debuted at CinemaCon, sees the two iconic characters addressing the audience in their signature fourth-wall breaking style, tackling a relatable issue for moviegoers – cell phone interruptions.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the opening teaser for “Deadpool & Wolverine” begins with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool excitedly sharing his theories about the upcoming “Avengers: Secret Wars” film. However, his musings are constantly interrupted by the sound of a ringing cell phone in the audience. Frustrated, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine eventually unleashes a string of uncensored expletives, calling out the inconsiderate audience member and reminding them that they are in a movie theater, not “your grandma’s nursing home.”

This meta-theatrical approach is a fitting tribute to the characters’ rebellious nature and a clever way to engage the audience before the main feature. By directly addressing the disruptive behavior of leaving cell phones on during a movie, the “Deadpool & Wolverine” teaser not only sets the tone for the film’s irreverent style but also serves as a humorous public service announcement for moviegoers.

The decision to include this teaser in theaters underscores Marvel and Disney’s commitment to delivering a unique, immersive experience for audiences. By harnessing the star power and comedic talents of Reynolds and Jackman, the studio hopes to capture the attention of moviegoers and set the stage for the highly anticipated “Deadpool & Wolverine” adventure.

While Marvel has remained tight-lipped on the details, this in-theater promo is sure to generate buzz and excitement, serving as a tantalizing glimpse into the multiverse-spanning narrative that awaits fans when the film hits the big screen.
