Ninja Theory, the developer behind the highly anticipated game Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2, recently shared a unique ingredient mix that has helped them create incredibly realistic terrains in the game. The secret? Flour, couscous, and polenta.
In a post on Twitter, the team shared images of the Icelandic terrain in the game, with the added detail of intricate symbols drawn onto the flour, couscous, and polenta mixture.
This unconventional approach has allowed them to recreate the imperfections and furrows of the terrain with remarkable accuracy, resulting in stunning and immersive landscapes.
The team’s ingenuity doesn’t stop there, as they’ve also revealed other unconventional ideas they’ve implemented in the game’s development process.

Last year, they shared that they had created a tool to accurately place bird droppings in the game’s environments, adding yet another layer of realism to the experience.
Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2 is currently in development for Xbox Series X|S and PC and will be available on launch day on PC and Xbox Game Pass.
Although an official release date has not been announced yet, fans can expect to learn more about the game during the Xbox Showcase event scheduled for June.
