With the highly anticipated release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 just around the corner in November, gamers are gearing up for a thrilling adventure. While the game’s upcoming features, such as a 50% health increase, point-shooting mechanics, and customizable Operators, have piqued interest, there’s another fascinating aspect that’s captured the attention of many: a leaked weapon list.

This leak, which surfaced earlier, has sparked curiosity due to its extensive collection of firearms, both returning favorites and brand-new additions. At first glance, it might have seemed like fan-generated fiction, but recent developments suggest otherwise.

A twist in the tale occurred when some of Activision’s promotional materials for Modern Warfare 3 began surfacing. These materials unmistakably displayed guns that were prominently featured on the leaked list. This revelation has caused speculation to shift towards the legitimacy of the leaked weapon roster.

Decoding the Leaked Weapon List

When the supposed Modern Warfare 3 weapon list leaked via CharlieIntel, it had the air of a passionate fan’s wishlist. It included an intriguing mix of experimental and exotic arms, including the renowned Bushmaster ACR. Some entries had dual references, alternating between COD’s fictional manufacturer and model names and real-world designations.

Below is a snapshot of the leaked weaponry:

  • AK-556
  • Kalashnikov SVK
  • Chukavin SVCh
  • PKP Pecheneg (Bullpup)
  • Colt Model 635
  • H&K G36/SL-8
  • Uzi
  • H&K UMP-45
  • Bushmaster ACR (in 5.56, .300 Blackout, and .450 Bushmaster)
  • CZ BREN
  • CZ Scorpion
  • QBZ-95
  • Beretta 93R
  • RSh-12
  • MCX Spear/XM7
  • FN EVOLYS
  • FN F2000

The list further included familiar faces like the SCAR platform and the MP5. What’s intriguing is that certain weapons appeared in both Modern Warfare 2 and this leaked list.

What adds credibility to the leak are the in-game screenshots released by Activision. One image vividly shows a character wielding a BREN carbine, echoing one of the leaked weapons.

Another screenshot features the Colt 635 (right) and a version of the Chinese QBZ rifle. An offering in the Weapon Vault highlights the MCX Spear weapon platform, adding another layer of confirmation.

As the pieces come together, it becomes increasingly plausible that CharlieIntel’s leak might have struck gold. The leaked list covers a wide spectrum of weaponry, deftly avoiding redundancy from Modern Warfare 2. Notably, the absence of the regular M4 carbine and the change in the AK rifle’s chambering showcase deliberate design choices.

With the resurgence of the legendary ACR and the meticulous assortment of weapons, Modern Warfare 3 seems poised to deliver an arsenal that caters to diverse playstyles. Balancing this array of firearms is a challenge that awaits, but it’s a testament to the developers’ commitment to crafting an engaging experience for players.

As the release date approaches, fans eagerly anticipate diving into Modern Warfare 3’s expansive world, where an array of weapons stands ready to shape the battles that lie ahead.
