Exciting news for gamers worldwide as Sony has officially announced the return of their highly anticipated PlayStation State of Play broadcast, set to stream tomorrow. This digital showcase is bound to set the gaming community abuzz with the promise of updates, highlights, and a glimpse of the future of gaming.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 14th, at 2pm PDT / 5pm EDT / 10pm BST, when the State of Play will go live via YouTube, Twitch, and even TikTok. If you can’t make it to these platforms, simply bookmark this page and enjoy the embedded stream below.

While blockbuster reveals might not be the primary focus of this State of Play, Sony assures fans that it will deliver in other exciting ways. In their official announcement, Sony stated, “Tomorrow’s broadcast will focus on updates to previously announced games coming to PlayStation consoles.

From indie and PSVR 2 highlights to major upcoming titles from our third-party partners, our latest show has something for everyone!” Gamers can look forward to a diverse selection of upcoming games that promise to cater to a wide range of tastes.

September 14th has become a gaming news double-header, coinciding with the recently announced Nintendo Direct. It seems Sony and Nintendo are joining forces to provide game enthusiasts with a double dose of excitement. One can’t help but wonder if Microsoft has any surprises in store to match this thrilling lineup.

It’s essential to note that Sony’s State of Play broadcasts differ from the company’s PlayStation Showcase events, where the most significant announcements tend to occur.

In the recent PlayStation Showcase 2023, for instance, we witnessed the thrilling reveals of the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake and Bungie’s Marathon, along with gameplay debuts for Dragon’s Dogma 2, Alan Wake 2, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Sony has already treated gamers to a third-party-focused event earlier this year with the State of Play in February 2023. While it may be remembered for the less-than-impressive Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League showcase, it also introduced us to some of the standout games of 2023, including the highly anticipated Resident Evil 4 remake and the enchanting world of Baldur’s Gate 3. With Sony’s penchant for surprises, who knows what hidden gems might be in store for us this time. Gamers, prepare to be enthralled once again!
