EA and the developers at Full Circle recently showed more of their upcoming skateboarding game called Skate. In the video, they talked about how players can make their own skater that looks just how they want. They also said the game will have real skateboard brands.
You can customize everything about your skater. This includes their height, body type, and face. You can also pick out different outfits for them to wear. The developers want to make the characters look like real people but also be fun to customize.
“We want to find a good middle between realistic and stylized looks for characters,” they said. “You’ll have lots of options to show your personality.”
You don’t just customize your skater – you can also customize your skateboard. You can pick deck designs, stickers, grip tape patterns, and wheel colors. This lets you build the exact board setup you want.
To make the game feel like real skating, Skate will have brands you know from the streets. At launch, it will have Vans, Girl, Chocolate, and Dime brands. They promise to add more companies before the game is released too.
“We’re putting some of your favorite brands right into San Vansterdam,” they teased, meaning the game’s city.
You’ll unlock other gear like clothes and board parts by playing the game. You can earn special currency to get items from an in-game store. The developers said you don’t need to spend extra money – you can unlock cool stuff just from playing.
Fans are excited to get their hands on Skate when it comes out. It looks like it will give players a really personalized skating experience with awesome customization and realism.
