Film director Rian Johnson has finished shooting his latest mystery movie in the popular Knives Out franchise. The movie, titled “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Story,” continues the adventures of detective Benoit Blanc played by actor Daniel Craig.
Johnson used social media to announce that filming had wrapped up. He said the crew worked very fast and that it was a “really special shoot.” A photo he shared hinted that the new movie’s setting involves graves.
Like the prior Knives Out movies, “Wake Up Dead Man” has an impressive cast. Craig returns as the sharp detective Blanc. He is joined by well-known actors like Josh Brolin, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, Andrew Scott, Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close and Thomas Haden Church.

The first Knives Out movie from 2019 and its follow up “Glass Onion” from 2022 both received critical acclaim for their clever stories, star-filled ensembles, and Johnson’s unique directing. Hits like Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, and the late Christopher Plummer acted in the first film. “Glass Onion” featured talents including Janelle Monae, Kathryn Hahn, and Edward Norton.
