Kieran Culkin, known for his role as Roman Roy in the hit HBO series “Succession,” revealed that unusual circumstances have prevented him from watching the Season 4 finale. Culkin earned both Emmy and Golden Globe awards for his supporting role in the final season but has not seen its conclusion.
While filming another project abroad during the airing of the finale episodes, Culkin experienced technical issues accessing the series through streaming. “I couldn’t log into my Max account,” he explained. With help from his wife on social media, fans offered their own login credentials so Culkin could watch episodes 8 and 9.
However, a subsequent hotel change without smart TV access stopped his viewing. Culkin said “Before the last one I moved to a different hotel that didn’t have a smart TV, so I just couldn’t watch it then.” Upon returning home and taking time off, Culkin felt he had missed the appropriate period to watch. “You know when it’s like a couple months old? I kinda missed the moment,” he reflected.
Despite his intimate involvement with the show’s material through acting and acclaimed performance, Culkin acknowledged the peculiarity of not viewing the finale. “I was there. I read it, I was there for it, I know what happens – at least I think,” he said. While discussing plans with his wife to binge-watch past seasons from the start, they have not begun this project yet.
The acclaimed HBO drama concluded its four-season run last year to widespread praise. The series cemented its place among the network’s most successful shows.
