Actor Jamie Foxx was injured after a frightening event at his birthday dinner in Beverly Hills on Friday night. According to reports, a glass was hurled at him during a dispute at the restaurant.
Foxx’s representative verified to CNN that the actor was hit in the mouth and required sutures. The Beverly Hills Police Department arrived at the site at 10 p.m. Initially, they looked into the matter as a potential assault with a lethal weapon.
Later, police categorized the incident as a “physical altercation between parties” and filed a battery report. No arrests have been made, and the inquiry continues. The causes of the altercation remain unknown.
This incident occurred at a difficult time for Foxx. Just days ago, he spoke about his health concerns in a Netflix program titled “What Happened Was.” In the program, he discussed a near-death incident while filming his next picture, “Back in Action,” with Cameron Diaz.
During the event, Foxx revealed a touching narrative of his medical crisis, in which doctors suspected he had a brain bleed that could cause a stroke. He described a moving moment when a doctor told his sister that, while he might recover, it would probably be “the worst year of his life.”
Foxx acknowledged losing memory for 20 days amid his health crisis, adding vulnerability to his public story. The incident at his birthday dinner adds to what has already been a trying period for him.
