The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has unveiled more names set to take the stage at the 2025 Oscars, with actors, filmmakers, and industry icons among those presenting awards at the ceremony. Actor and comedian Nick Offerman has been named the announcer for the evening, marking a second consecutive year where an actor, rather than a professional voice-over artist, fills the role.
The latest list of presenters includes Sterling K. Brown, Willem Dafoe, Ana de Armas, Lily-Rose Depp, Selena Gomez, Goldie Hawn, Joe Alwyn, Connie Nielsen, Ben Stiller, and Oprah Winfrey. They join previously announced presenters such as Halle Berry, Penélope Cruz, Elle Fanning, Whoopi Goldberg, Scarlett Johansson, John Lithgow, Amy Poehler, June Squibb, and Bowen Yang. Last year’s acting award winners—Robert Downey Jr., Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Cillian Murphy, and Emma Stone—will return to present trophies to this year’s honorees.
Several of the newly named presenters have connections to films from this year’s awards season. Depp and Dafoe are part of Nosferatu, Alwyn appears in The Brutalist, Gomez stars in Emilia Perez, Nielsen has a role in Gladiator II, and Winfrey features in The Six Triple Eight. Brown, who was nominated last year for American Fiction, currently stars in the Hulu series Paradise.
Offerman, widely known for his work on Parks and Recreation, was selected to serve as the Oscars announcer, taking over a role historically filled by seasoned voice actors. Last year, actor David Alan Grier performed the job, breaking a two-decade trend of using voice-over professionals. Offerman, who appeared in Alex Garland’s Civil War, is also a regular on ABC’s The Conners, aligning with the network that broadcasts the Academy Awards.
The 2025 Oscars, hosted by Conan O’Brien, will take place on Sunday, March 2. The live telecast will air on ABC at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, with a red-carpet pre-show beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT. The ceremony will also stream live on Hulu.
