Marvel’s next ensemble epic is set to remodel one of the MCU’s most famous addresses. Speaking at a fan Q&A, Kevin Feige said the Baxter Building will host “a lot more people in that kitchen” when the Avengers gather there in Avengers: Doomsday, echoing the intimate domestic moment that introduced the new Fantastic Four earlier this summer. The producer called it “fun to literally see people coming into each other’s homes,” hinting at a ground‑level perspective amid cosmic stakes.
Set for 18 December 2026, the feature brings together more than forty heroes, from Captain America and Wolverine to Reed Richards and Shuri, to confront Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom after an incursion tears open Earth‑616 and a neighbouring reality. Sources close to production say the Baxter interiors were rebuilt on Pinewood’s biggest soundstage to accommodate simultaneous action beats for multiple character groups, including a confrontation that spills from the living room into the iconic elevator shaft.
Feige’s comments arrive as marketing for Fantastic Four: First Steps hits its stride; analysts believe a strong July run for that film could lift awareness for Doomsday in the same way Black Panther bolstered Infinity War. Preliminary tracking pegs the crossover’s domestic debut between $125 million and $145 million, which would place it among the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s healthiest launches since 2022.
Cast members have already begun stoking anticipation. Fantastic Four actors Ebon Moss‑Bachrach and Joseph Quinn recently described the project as “epic” and “tragic,” noting that the script pushes their characters far from the comfort of Baxter’s walls. Meanwhile, footage screened for licensees teases Galactus looming above Midtown, though Feige insists the world‑devourer’s full entrance remains under wraps until a later trailer drop.
With principal photography due to start in Atlanta this November, the studio is still finalising cameos but has locked in Ralph Ineson as the voice of Galactus and Pedro Pascal for an undisclosed role tied to the film’s multiversal subplot. As the MCU’s Phase Six accelerates, the promise of superheroes squeezing around the Fantastic Four’s kitchen table offers a grounded hook for a saga that otherwise spans galaxies.
