Ariana Grande said filming has wrapped on Focker-in-Law, the next installment in the Meet the Parents series, marking the end of principal photography ahead of a planned Thanksgiving 2026 theatrical release. In a carousel post celebrating the last day on set, she thanked cast and crew and signed off with “see you next November,” a nod to the film’s date.
The project reunites Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller under writer-director John Hamburg, with returning cast members Blythe Danner, Teri Polo and Owen Wilson, and new additions including Grande. The studio has positioned the film for November 25, 2026 in theaters.
Recent appearances by Stiller helped frame expectations for the sequel’s tone and focus. He described the story as a generational flip on the franchise’s signature meet-the-family anxiety, with Greg Focker stepping into the wary parent role as his adult son’s relationship sparks fresh friction. Stiller also singled out Grande’s work as “amazing,” underscoring how the ensemble is designed to balance legacy characters with a new onscreen dynamic.
Grande’s wrap note follows months of location work that drew fan attention online and capped a year in which the singer-actor remained a prominent presence on screens. Her message — “i love my Fockers, and i love my Byrnes… so, so very much” — circulated widely among franchise followers and was echoed in trade coverage confirming the production milestone.
The film extends a comedy brand that has generated strong box-office results across three entries since 2000 and has periodically resurfaced amid talk of the cast reuniting. With Hamburg at the helm after co-writing earlier chapters, and with the studio dating the film for the crowded holiday corridor, the sequel enters the long runway of postproduction and marketing with clear markers: familiar characters, a theatrical-first plan, and a release timed for families planning end-of-year outings.
