Disney has locked in an August 2026 premiere for Camp Rock 3, bringing the Jonas Brothers back to their most beloved franchise sixteen years after the second installment and setting off a wave of nostalgia-fueled anticipation among the franchise’s now-grown fanbase.
The film will air simultaneously on Disney+ and Disney Channel, with Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, and Kevin Jonas returning both in front of the camera as Connect 3 and behind it as executive producers. Directed by Veronica Rodriguez and written by Eydie Faye, the film was produced by Disney Branded Television and features choreography by Jamal Sims. Principal photography ran from September 15 to November 1, 2025, in Vancouver, Canada.
The story picks up 15 years after Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, finding Connect 3 scrambling after losing their opening act for a major reunion tour. The brothers return to Camp Rock to find a replacement, and the competition among a new class of campers generates rival alliances, romances, and revelations.
The new cast of campers includes Liamani Segura as the driven Sage, Malachi Barton as camp bad boy Fletch, Lumi Pollack as cello prodigy Rosie, and Ava Jean as an intimidating influencer named Madison, among others. Sherry Cola joins as a character named Lark. Maria Canals-Barrera also returns as Connie Torres, the mother of Demi Lovato’s character Mitchie — and according to director Rodriguez, Connie carries a bigger role this time around.
The question fans most want answered remains unresolved. Lovato, who starred in both original films, serves as executive producer on the third but has not been confirmed to appear on screen. Rodriguez declined to rule anything out, telling Entertainment Weekly: “You can’t really talk about Camp Rock or have a Camp Rock movie without referencing her. We love Mitchie.” Lovato’s voice features in archival audio used in the December 2025 teaser trailer, which prompted widespread speculation about a cameo.
Camp Rock (2008) and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010) both rank among the Top 10 Disney Channel Original Movies of all time and each stood as the number one cable movie premiere in their respective years of release. Rodriguez has confirmed the film will feature new music from the Jonas Brothers across several genres, including Americana pop country, a Bruno Mars-style pop tune, girl power rock, and uptempo dance tracks.
