Following months of waiting, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, Activision’s sequel to the popular free-to-play Battle Royale, made its debut this week to great fanfare along with CoD: Modern Warfare II Season 1 and the new DMZ game mode.

Sadly, saying the launch was difficult is an understatement, with players experiencing all sorts of bugs that detracted from the experience. Sure enough, a new issue has just joined the list.

In the past few hours, fanatics took to social networks to confirm that one of the most popular and most annoying bugs of the original installment is back in the sequel.

Yes, we’re talking about the invisible players, which have a very obvious competitive advantage in the games.

The Invisible Players Are Already Doing Their Thing in Cod: Warzone 2.0

according to reports, invisibility is a consequence of an annoying bug. It is not entirely clear, though, if it is an accidental glitch or if users can activate it at will by following a series of steps. Likewise, it is unknown how prominent the problem is.

Either way, clips have already been shared by the community on Twitter and reddit where we can see this bug in action.

Surely, to lose a game because of a player using an unfair advantage must be something really annoying and frustrating. As of this writing, Infinity Ward has not yet acknowledged the issue.

Invisibility glitch…

Of fucking course MAN! Idk how it's done but this gonna be mad annoying if it's found out. @CallofDuty pic.twitter.com/YT7Tejm0qs

The bug joins the long list of problems that marred the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. We must remember that users had problems logging into games due to a bug that forced them to buy CoD: Modern Warfare II, the premium installment of this year. Numerous connection and performance errors also occurred.

With any luck, these and other issues will hopefully be resolved by Infinity Ward and Raven Software in future patches.

In spite of the drawbacks, Battle Royale triumphed in a big way on Steam with thousands of simultaneous players.

Tell us, though, have you been a victim of an invisible player in Battle Royale yet? Let us read about it in the comments.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is free to play and is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox X Series X|S.
