While Microsoft didn’t end the year with a longer gameplay presentation from Starfield, with small steps Bethesda is confirming more details of the highly anticipated game. The production will give us a chance to return to Earth, where we’ll perform missions.
Starfield is scheduled to debut in 2023, so we should know the final release date in a few weeks as well as check out new gameplay footage. Rumor has it that Microsoft wants to hold a big event early next year, during which we should get a look at the space adventure.
Bethesda want to prepare players for a new experience, with Will Shen (chief task designer) talking about some interesting facts about the missions being developed.
The game will feature our solar system, and we will be able to visit Earth during the gameplay – this is connected with the thread titled “Old Neighborhood” and in the course of the game we will find out what really happened to this place.
Starfield will not lack smaller settlements or even towns that are located on all planets – we will encounter various tasks in such places. The players will be free to join different factions, while joining one team won’t block access to another.
And our decisions will influence the fate and lives of important characters in the world. The companions will be given their own missions, and developers will allow players to make an interesting move – we’ll be able to ask our partners to speak out on a given issue, which could result in negative or positive consequences.
