Sony Music Taiwan has signed on to handle worldwide digital distribution for the original soundtrack to Demon Hunters, an India–Taiwan action-fantasy feature preparing for a year-end Taiwan theatrical launch. The agreement covers the film’s score, theme music, and promotional tracks, with release plans spanning major global and regional services including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, KKBOX, and JOOX.
The film pairs a Taiwanese paranormal YouTuber with an Indian tech engineer who joins him to confront a supernatural threat tied to both cultures, leaning into genre set pieces that play to audiences on either side of the collaboration. Chen Mei-Juin directs, with Arjan Bajwa and J.C. Lin leading the cast alongside Regina Lei, Jack Kao, and Harry Chan. Hong Kong cinematographer Tony Cheung shoots the feature, adding veteran action credentials to a production mounted by Light House Productions in Taiwan with India’s Kleos Entertainment Group.
Producers framed the music deal as a commercial driver, not a late-stage add-on. Light House producer Cindy Shyu said the soundtrack functions as “a vital narrative and commercial element,” and argued Sony Music Taiwan provides the scale needed to support the film’s overseas plans. Kleos producer Gayathiri Guliani said the team wanted a partner that understands “regional sensibilities” while executing a global release strategy.
The soundtrack move lands after a run of audience-facing steps meant to introduce the project outside Taiwan. The film screened in Delhi during the Taiwan Film Festival on Dec. 12 and 13, where festival organizers positioned the title as a practical example of cultural exchange in the absence of formal diplomatic ties; the India release date remains unset. Trade reporting from earlier in the project’s life placed Demon Hunters at the Cannes market pipeline, where the team circulated footage and pursued partners for a cross-border rollout.
