The Best Cell Phones Under 200 Euros

When you look for a smartphone for under 200 Euros, you have an extremely wide range of options to choose from. Companies like Samsung and Xiaomi are playing a role, as well as Nokia and Motorola. However, smaller players like Realme and Oppo are also becoming increasingly involved in this price range. Below, we have compiled a list of the best phones under 200 Euros.

Editors’ Recommendations

One recommendation from our editorial team is currently the Android 11-based Realme 8. It has a powerful processor in the form of MediaTek’s Helio G95, and you have access to a 6.4-inch AMOLED display. There is a quad camera (64 + 8 + 2 + 2 megapixels) on the back. Its 5000 mAh battery can be recharged with up to 30 watts.

Samsung – The Best Phones up to 200 Euros

When looking for a new Samsung phone for under 200 euros, the selection is pretty limited at the moment. The Korean manufacturer has raised the prices of many of its smartphones because of increased costs for chips and other components, and thus pushed them over the 200 euro threshold. The Samsung Galaxy A12 is currently recommendable below this price limit. Primarily because it offers access to 128 GB of storage, which cannot be taken for granted in this price range. On the other hand, the processor, a MediaTek P35, is comparatively weak.

Poco – The Best Mobile Phone Under 200 Euros

Actually a part of the Xiaomi group, but Poco is now an independent brand. For under 200 Euros, we would like to focus on the Poco M3 Pro 5G – although it currently only falls below the magic price limit in the context of special offers. The name says it all: It also lets you surf the Internet via 5G – assuming a suitable internet plan. Other than that, the configuration is similar to that of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G. The processor is the MediaTek Dimensity 700.

Vivo – Top Smartphone up to 200 Euros

The Vivo Y52 5G is also based on the MediaTek Dimensity 700. While the smartphone only has 4 GB of working memory, it should be absolutely sufficient for everyday use. There are three cameras on the back of this 5G smartphone, with the main camera offering a resolution of 48 megapixels. The display is 6.58 inches and offers a resolution of 1,080 x 2,408 pixels.

Other Manufacturers – The Best Cell Phones up to 200 Euros

You can find other good phones for under 200 Euros from Nokia or Motorola, for instance. As an example, the Nokia G20 is among the latest mid-range smartphones and is equipped with a quad camera (48 + 5 + 2 + 2 megapixels) and MediaTek Helio G35 processor. Somewhat older, but also a rock-solid mid-range smartphone: the Motorola Moto G30 with HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor and quad camera (64 + 8 + 2 + 2 megapixels).

No Apple iPhone for Under 200 Euros?

When it comes to cell phones priced up to 200 euros, Apple and its iPhones don’t play a role. Well, at least not if you want a new iPhone. This is because at best, the iPhone 6s from 2015 or the iPhone SE from 2016 are worth a small recommendation. Whether there will be an update to iOS 15 for these smartphones is unclear.

You will have more choice regarding more recent iPhone models if you get a used iPhone. If you would like to avoid a high one-time price, there is the possibility to buy a cell phone on installments. This also makes the new iPhone models available at an affordable price.
