First rumors about a new game set in the world of Middle-earth appeared back in November last year, but it is only now that we have received official confirmation.
The publisher Private Division has announced via its social media that it and Weta Workshop are working on a new game in the Lord of the Rings universe. However, the project is still at an early stage and no details have been revealed.
Who is in charge of the new Middle-earth game?
This will be the first such large-scale game project for Weta Workshop. The developers from the studio, established in 2014, have previously been mainly involved in productions designed for virtual reality goggles.

The Private Division, in turn, a publishing company under Take-Two Interactive. This publisher deals with independent titles such as The Outer Worlds, The Hades, OlliOlli World and Kerbal Space Program.
The item is currently said to be in the early stages of development and has no final release date. According to the game, it is scheduled to hit the market by March 31, 2024.
