AmazonAmazon has just confirmed the specifics for Season 2 of “The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power.” This series will return for eight episodes and this time all stories will be produced by female directors. Work is still underway on the UK set.
Season 1 of “The Lord of the Rings: the Rings of Power” has received mixed reviews, but the high viewership of the series meant that Amazon immediately began work on the next episodes. The filming of the story is just now underway, and so the corporation has revealed the final details.
“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” will be exclusively handled by the directors – Charlotte Brändström (“The Witcher,” “Conspiracy of Silence,” “Jupiter’s Legacy,” “Outsider”) returns to develop the story, and though she developed two episodes in Season 1 (“The Sixth” and “The Seventh”) now she has been tasked with creating four episodes. The writer of two episodes of “The Witcher” on Netflix will also serve as an executive co-producer.
Charlotte Brändström is joined by Sanaa Hamri (“Shameless – The Incredibles,” “The Wandering Pants Society 2,” “Second Chance”) and Louise Hooper (“The Witcher,” “Sandman,” “Betrayal”), who will each create two episodes, so viewers will see the story divided into eight parts in total.
