Ubisoft’s The Crew franchise has hit a major milestone, announcing that it now boasts an impressive 40 million players across its various cross-platform games.

The Ivory Tower saga has continued to grow in popularity, and the release of the upcoming MotorFest is set to take the franchise to even greater heights.

Stephane Beley, Creative Director at Ubisoft Ivory Tower and the driving force behind The Crew and the new MotorFest, shared the exciting news with fans on his personal Twitter account. “15 years ago, a group of friends dreamed of creating their own driving game,” Beley reflected.

“Ubisoft trusted them, and Ivory then gave birth to The Crew. 15 years later, 40 million players have joined the adventure. Soon they will continue it with The Crew MotorFest. Always believe in your dreams! Thank you all very much.”

The Crew’s impressive player base is spread across its various titles, including The Crew 2 and The Crew: Wild Run. While Xbox Game Studios’ Forza Horizon series is a major competitor, with Forza Horizon 5 boasting 28 million players and Forza Horizon 4 with 24 million, it’s important to note that The Crew’s 40 million player base is for the entire franchise, not just a single game.

The Crew franchise’s popularity can be attributed to its unique cross-platform capabilities, allowing players on PC, Steam Deck, PS4, Xbox One, and soon to be PS5 and Xbox Series X|S to join in the fun.

The Crew 2 has also expanded upon the initial idea, offering players a wide range of vehicles and modes of transportation, including land, sea, and air travel.

As fans eagerly await the release of MotorFest, it’s clear that The Crew franchise’s impressive player base is a testament to its continued success and the passion of its creators.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer to the franchise, The Crew’s 40 million players can attest to the excitement and adventure that awaits in this beloved driving game saga.
