The release of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is just around the corner and fans can’t wait to see how the story of the group led by Starlord comes to an end.
The film’s director, James Gunn, has already confirmed that it will have no connection with Marvel’s current Phase 5 story arc. Still, the latest preview of the film gives us some hints about the potential successors of the interstellar team.
Recently, a preview clip was released on Twitter that briefly shows the classic Guardians of the Galaxy team from the comics. The scene features Starlord, who seems surprised by the appearance of this team standing behind him.
On May 5, the Guardians say goodbye.

Led by Starhawk, this classic team was introduced in the post-credits scene of the second part. In Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, it seems that they will have a more prominent role to play.
Besides, the preview also shows Nebula, one of Thanos’ daughters, in a new avatar. She now possesses a gigantic weapon that replaces her left arm, allowing her to transform from a murderous member to a deadly gunslinger.
With this weapon, she can take down multiple enemies with a single shot, making her a formidable force to be reckoned with.
Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 will hit theaters worldwide on May 4th, concluding the story of a team that began its journey back in 2014.
The film promises to be an emotional and action-packed ride for fans, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for the interstellar team.
