The Super Mario Bros. Movie has been generating buzz and excitement among fans ever since the release of its first teaser trailer. With the film being co-financed by Universal Pictures and Nintendo, and featuring some of the biggest names in Hollywood lending their voices to iconic characters, it’s no surprise that people are eagerly awaiting its release.
After being delayed from its original Christmas 2022 release date, the film is set to hit theaters later this year. In the meantime, fans have been treated to several Nintendo Directs, which included new trailers and behind-the-scenes glimpses.
One of the most talked-about aspects of the movie has been the “Peaches” song, performed by Jack Black, who voices Bowser in the English version.
Fans were given a taste of the song in the trailers, but it wasn’t until recently that an official video clip was released, showcasing Black performing the song live.

Since its release, “Peaches” has been climbing up the charts on various streaming platforms, including iTunes. The catchy tune, with its upbeat tempo and playful lyrics, has been well-received by fans and casual listeners alike.
Aside from the “Peaches” song, the Super Mario movie boasts an impressive cast of voice actors, including Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, and Charlie Day as Luigi. Seth Rogen, Keegan-Michael Key, Fred Armisen, Kevin Michael Richardson, and Sebastian Maniscalco round out the rest of the cast.
The film is being produced by Chris Meledandri of Illumination and Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto, with Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic directing. Matthew Fogel, who previously worked on The LEGO Movie 2 and the Illumination Minions Movie: Rise of Gru, is writing the script.
With so much talent behind and in front of the camera, the Super Mario Bros. Movie is shaping up to be a must-see for fans of the franchise and moviegoers alike.
