As per sources familiar with the matter, Max will offer a blend of HBO Max and Discovery+ content, creating a unique entertainment experience for subscribers.
Expected to launch in May or June, Max will be priced at $16 per month, the same as the current HBO Max subscription rate in the United States. However, the company plans to offer multiple pricing tiers, including an affordable ad-supported plan.
While details regarding the migration from HBO Max to Max remain unclear, it is evident that Max will be replacing HBO Max. There is also no word yet on whether Warner Bros. will opt for a simultaneous global launch.
