Asobo Studio Teases Upcoming AAA Game Development on Cloud Platform

Asobo Studio, the French game development company behind the widely popular A Plague Tale series and Microsoft Flight Simulator, is currently in the process of creating a new AAA game. This much has been revealed by Olivier Goguel, Asobo Studio’s Technical Director, through his LinkedIn profile.

Goguel’s profile indicates that he is leading a technical team in Bordeaux that is working on a new high-budget project for PC and Cloud platforms that has yet to be announced. The game is still shrouded in mystery, with no information regarding the genre or storyline.

However, given Asobo Studio’s extensive experience in creating Microsoft Flight Simulator, which is widely regarded as one of the most advanced ‘on the cloud’ video games, it is not surprising to speculate that the upcoming project could involve the Redmond company once again.

This would be especially true in light of Microsoft’s commitment to evolving technologies such as Azure and supporting video game platforms like the one offered to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

With Asobo Studio’s technical prowess and expertise in cloud gaming, the new game is expected to push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of gaming.

Goguel has hinted at the use of cloud technology, which could potentially enhance the game’s graphics, processing power, and online capabilities, leading to a more immersive gaming experience for players.

In conclusion, Asobo Studio’s upcoming AAA game project remains a closely guarded secret. However, with the company’s track record of delivering critically acclaimed titles and the promise of cutting-edge cloud technology, fans of the gaming industry eagerly await any news on this exciting new development.
