FIFA 23 Reigns Supreme: EA Dominates Xbox and PlayStation Publishers

Electronic Arts (EA) is a renowned publisher that continuously introduces popular games to the market, which enjoy immense interest from gaming enthusiasts.

However, the emergence of the International Football Federation (FIFA) may pose a challenge to EA’s popularity. Nevertheless, recent data affirms that EA still holds an outstanding position in the industry, especially with the upcoming release of FIFA 23.

EA Sports FC, which is one of EA’s most popular franchises, will be competing with FIFA’s upcoming game. Therefore, Electronic Arts needs to step up its game and start promoting EA Sports FC to retain its loyal players who spend their free time playing EA games.

According to a new report by Ampere Analysis, which was published in Gamesindustry.biz, Electronic Arts is the leading publisher in terms of the number of active players on Xbox and PlayStation consoles from September 2022 to January 2023.

This data is significant, considering that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and God of War Ragnarok were also released during this period.

Ampere Analysis has provided graphics that highlight how frequently players spend their time playing EA games. Piers Harding-Rolls, head of research for Ampere Analysis, acknowledged that EA’s games consistently receive great interest and only rivals Fortnite in terms of active user participation across all consoles.

EA’s extensive catalog of games, combined with its consistency in ensuring active user participation, has put it in a strong position on Xbox and PlayStation.

FIFA 23, in particular, has enjoyed an exceptional result, leading all rankings and responsible for over 16% of the monthly activities of all players on Sony and Microsoft consoles. Statistically, fans played EA football on 35% of the days in February.

EA’s dominance on Xbox and PlayStation consoles is noteworthy and highlights the publisher’s success in creating engaging games that capture the attention of players globally.

As the gaming industry continues to evolve, EA’s extensive catalog and consistency will undoubtedly ensure that it remains a significant player in the market.
