Attention all Final Fantasy fans! Spoilers for the highly anticipated game, Final Fantasy 16, are making their way online. Some individuals have managed to obtain early copies of the game and have thoughtlessly shared spoilers, jeopardizing the mystery and surprise for other players.

In response to this unfortunate situation, Square Enix, the publisher of Final Fantasy 16, has promptly addressed the issue. The company is currently investigating whether these copies were acquired through illegitimate means. They are taking immediate action to minimize the spread of spoilers and preserve the excitement leading up to the game’s release.

A Plea for Consideration

Square Enix appeals to those fortunate enough to have received an early copy to be considerate of their fellow players. The company requests that they refrain from posting screenshots, videos, or livestreams until the official release date. By doing so, we can ensure that the full game experience remains untarnished for everyone.

To safeguard fans from accidental spoilers, Square Enix is actively removing any leaked images, videos, and livestreams found on the internet. This proactive approach aims to maintain the integrity of the game and allow players to enjoy it without any prior knowledge or surprises being ruined.

Exploring the Demo

If you’re eager to learn more about Final Fantasy 16 before its official release, Square Enix encourages you to check out the demo. Players have responded positively to the demo, and any minor issues encountered will be resolved through a day one update. Don’t hesitate to give it a try—it’s highly recommended by Alex!

Under the direction of Hiroshi Takai, Final Fantasy 16 was announced in September 2020 exclusively for PlayStation 5. The game takes place in Valisthea, a fantastical world on the brink of conflict due to the spread of a devastating disease known as the Blight.

Valisthea is adorned with majestic Mothercrystals, towering crystalline structures that bless the realms with aether—a magical energy source. For generations, people have harnessed the power of aether to conjure magic and live lives of abundance and comfort.

Dominants and Eikons

Within Final Fantasy 16, there exist enigmatic beings called Eikons. These powerful and lethal creatures are bound to a Dominant—a singular individual blessed with the ability to summon their formidable powers. In some nations, Dominants are revered as royalty, while in others, they are forcibly conscripted as weapons of war.

In a twist of fate, Joshua Rosfield, the meek and scholarly second son of the Archduke of Rosaria, becomes the chosen Dominant of the Phoenix.

This turn of events surprises everyone, as it was expected that his brave and strong older brother, Clive, would inherit this role. Joshua, who is somewhat delicate and holds a peculiar aversion to carrots, must now bear the burden of this extraordinary power.

Final Fantasy 16 is set to release on June 22, initially exclusively for PlayStation 5. While a PC version is expected, the exact release date for other platforms remains uncertain. Fans will need to wait until at least December 31, 2023, to enjoy the game on other formats.
