While Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated titles in the long-running successful franchise this year, Ubisoft has a surprise in store for fans before its release: Assassin’s Creed: Codename Jade, a mobile spin-off, will take the spotlight in a playable form through a beta test phase.

Ubisoft opened registrations for the closed beta of Codename Jade a few weeks ago, and the start date has now been announced. Developed by Level Infinite, the game’s closed beta will commence on August 3, 2023, with availability on both Android and iOS platforms worldwide.

For those who have not yet registered, the official website still offers the opportunity to sign up. However, it remains uncertain whether all registered players will have the chance to participate.

Introducing Codename Jade: A Journey to Ancient China

Assassin’s Creed: Codename Jade was first introduced in September of last year. It marks the series’ first venture into China within an open-world setting. Notably, it is also the first mobile game in the expansive Assassin’s Creed franchise. In Codename Jade, players assume the role of Xia, an assassin navigating the treacherous world of the third century BC.

While Codename Jade provides an exciting prelude to the forthcoming console game, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, fans can look forward to its official release in October of this year. With Mirage offering players the opportunity to explore ninth-century Baghdad and experience the historical journey of Basim, the anticipation for its launch continues to build.

As the release dates for both Codename Jade and Mirage draw near, Assassin’s Creed enthusiasts can immerse themselves in these captivating experiences, whether in the ancient landscapes of China or the vibrant streets of Baghdad. The future of the franchise promises diverse and immersive gameplay for fans of all platforms.
