This year’s highly anticipated installment of Call of Duty is still under wraps, awaiting its official reveal. However, a recent Facebook post by actor and singer Luke Charles Stafford has created a buzz by suggesting his participation as the main character in next year’s Call of Duty game. Stafford’s post has sparked speculation about the potential storyline for Call of Duty 2024.

Stafford’s social media update caught the attention of Insider Gaming, who discovered his Facebook post. In the post, Stafford expressed his enthusiasm about Activision using his likeness for their next main character, known as “Ratcliffe,” in the upcoming Call of Duty release. He eagerly mentioned his desire to play as himself in the game, reminiscing about playing Black Ops 2 with his college roommates at Anderson University.

Accompanying Stafford’s message were a series of images and videos, providing a glimpse into what seems to be a body scanning rig and showcasing his interactions with the production team. These materials have added fuel to the speculation surrounding the potential story details of Call of Duty 2024.

Connections to Previous Leaks and Inspirations

Earlier leaks in February already hinted at Treyarch’s involvement in developing next year’s Call of Duty under the codename Cerberus, suggesting a possible addition to the Black Ops series. Insider Gaming speculates that the character referred to as “Ratcliffe” by Stafford might draw inspiration from Major Peter Ratcliffe, a former soldier and author who served in the British Army for nearly thirty years.

While an official statement about next year’s Call of Duty is unlikely to be released anytime soon, it is worth noting that Activision has not yet publicly unveiled this year’s game, which is widely believed to be Modern Warfare 3.

However, reports have surfaced that professional basketball players were given an exclusive first look at the game during the NBA Summer League, adding to the anticipation surrounding its release.

This recent leak about Call of Duty 2024 follows another incident involving an actor who hinted at a potential remake of EA’s 2005 title, Need for Speed: Most Wanted. It seems that leaks and hints from actors are becoming a trend, stirring excitement and speculation within the gaming community.
