“Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link,” the latest addition to the beloved Kingdom Hearts series, is gearing up for its release in 2024, and fans are buzzing with excitement. Square Enix has officially opened the closed beta sign-ups, giving players in the UK and Australia a chance to be among the first to dive into this new adventure.
From today until November 19, iOS and Android users in these regions can register for a chance to participate in the closed beta, with around 3,000 lucky players expected to be selected across both platforms.
The closed beta schedule is set to kick off for iOS users first, with invitation emails going out around November 28 and the beta running from November 29 to December 8. Android users won’t be left out, as their closed beta is slated for some point in January 2024.
“Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link” promises to deliver a fresh and exciting experience, departing from the familiar setting of Scala ad Caelum and bringing the adventure into the real world. Players can expect to face off against the Heartless once again, as they unravel a brand-new story set in the enchanting Disney-verse.
The game is described as a “GPS Action RPG,” and while the exact details of how GPS will be integrated remain a mystery, the trailer gives us a glimpse of a real-world global map dotted with various chests.
Intriguingly, the game also promises the ability to “travel the world without stepping outside,” suggesting a unique blend of virtual and real-world exploration.
Fans of Disney will be delighted to see a host of familiar faces, with characters like Mickey, Pinocchio, Winnie the Pooh, Ariel, Woody, Aladdin, Rapunzel, Tinker Bell, Simba, and more making appearances in the game’s battle scenes.
While “Kingdom Hearts 4” remains shrouded in mystery, “Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link” offers a tantalizing taste of what’s to come, with its 2024 release date inching ever closer. And for the fortunate 3,000 who snag a spot in the closed beta, the adventure begins even sooner.
