In an exciting development for the gaming community, Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by former CD Projekt Red developers, has finally unveiled the title of their much-anticipated first project: “Dawnwalker.” This announcement has ignited intrigue and speculation, particularly among fans of their previous work on “The Witcher 3” and “Cyberpunk 2077.”
The reveal of “Dawnwalker” came through a tweet, which not only confirmed the game’s title but also offered a glimpse into its thematic essence. The announcement’s imagery, drenched in a crimson color palette and exhibiting a ‘blood in the water’ motif, immediately conjures a vampire-themed atmosphere. This is further hinted at by the name “Dawnwalker,” reminiscent of the term ‘Daywalker’ often associated with vampire lore.
The central figure in the announcement image, merging with the blood and brandishing a sword, adds a layer of mystery and darkness to the game’s concept. The transformation of the character’s left hand into something monstrous aligns with classic vampire narratives, recalling characters like Detlaff from “The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine” DLC.

Additionally, a peculiar symbol hovering above the character suggests possible religious or mystical elements, though its exact significance remains shrouded in mystery.
While Rebel Wolves is an independent entity, the studio’s lineage from CD Projekt Red is evident in the medieval and vampiric themes of “Dawnwalker.” This connection to their former studio, renowned for its deep dives into central European folklore and rich RPG experiences, adds a layer of anticipation and credibility to their upcoming project.
Having a team with a proven track record in creating immersive and critically acclaimed RPGs like “The Witcher” series sets high expectations for “Dawnwalker.” The studio’s RPG pedigree and the thematic echoes from their previous work are more than enough to pique the interest of the gaming community eagerly waiting to see what “Dawnwalker” will unfold.
