This unconventional approach leaves performers like the Japanese voice actor for protagonist Sam Porter Bridges completely in the dark, forced to record lines devoid of narrative context.

In a recent episode of HideoTube, Kojima’s YouTube series making its comeback after a nearly ten-year hiatus, the Sam Porter Bridges Japanese voice actor admitted his complete lack of knowledge regarding Death Stranding 2’s plot.
Though assured the storyline would make sense when recording begins in earnest, the actor currently possesses no information about the game outside of the cryptic State of Play trailer showcasing new characters.
